Neapolitan feast at Versailles (Daily News)
The Neapolitan Food Promotion at the Regency InterContinental’s Versailles Restaurant begins today and continues until next Saturday.
With the assistance of chef proprietor of Mimì Alla Ferrovia Michele Giugliano and his head chef Ciro Granato, Le Versailles will bring to your table the distinctly Mediterranean flavours of southern Italy.
Tomato, virgin olive oil, basil and balsamic vinegar are just some of the fantastic flavours blended to tempt your palate.
Opened in 1943, ristorante Mimì, as it is affectionately known throught Naples and the region, has been host to some of the most rich and famous.
Patronised by the likes of Sophia Loren, Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman more recently Mimi is the favoured haunt of Itlay’s current President Azeglio Ciampi.
For regular viewers of Italy’s Rai Uno TV Station, Michele and Ciro appear twice weekly to share their creations with the country.
Parmigiana di Melanzane, Gnocchi alla Sorrentina and Filetto di Vitello alla Pizzaiola are just some of the classic dishes on offer.
